Burnt Hills Cafe
About This Spot
Burnt Hills Cafe welcomes you with the gentle hum of a well-loved neighborhood diner, where familiar faces and the aroma of home cooking invite visitors to slow down and settle in. The moment you step through the door, the space feels warmly alive—bustling but never rushed, with an easy tempo that lets you savor each bite and conversation. The combination of cozy booths, classic counter stools, and spacious tables creates a relaxed setting that is both welcoming to longtime locals and inviting for first-timers.
Here, breakfasts vary from hearty and savory to sweet comfort, embodying the timeless appeal of American diner fare yet lived in and perfected through daily dedication. Whether it’s a savory Western omelette paired with golden, crisp home fries, a stack of fluffy pancakes drizzled with caramel and topped with whipped cream, or a classic tuna melt fresh off the grill, each plate feels like it’s been thoughtfully prepared with intention and care. The playful nods to diner staples alongside occasional surprises on the daily specials menu speak to a kitchen that knows its crowd and cares about offering something for every kind of appetite.
The atmosphere sparkles quietly in the details—the friendly nods exchanged between staff and regulars, the attentive service that keeps things moving smoothly even during busy weekend mornings, and the modest but sincere excitement in the air when a new dish or special hits the table. It’s a place where warmth is found not only in the food but in the human rhythms that knit the community together over shared meals and familiar smiles.

Have lived in the area for about 40 years. A few months ago had breakfast here for the first time, and have visited with family and friends several times since. Great food, great service...every time. The owners and staff do everything possible to ensure your satisfaction. Just kind, thoughtful, friendly people ... who also work hard to provide home cooked food...at very reasonable prices. Much appreciated...

usually busy but service always quick. all indoor spacious booth and table seating. large menu. portions good sized. friendly service. a standard quality diner. prices good for the area; 3 entrees and non alcoholic drinks was half the price of comparable order at other diners in the area. recommended.

Food was delicious - had the omelette special and mixed berry pancakes. Husband had the garbage omelette, both had coffee. Literally no complaints, made exactly to order and super fresh. Came out super fast too, service was fast and very friendly. Was our first time but we'll definitely be back!

Very busy place, brings the atmosphere up. Decent food and the staff were very nice. They ran out of biscuits and gravy by 11-12 so if you want that do go earlier.

Its called a cafe but it feels like a cozy neighborhood diner. Almost every other guest i saw was recognised by name and regarded with warmth and attention despite getting busy. The staff worked together like clockwork and never lost their cool. There is a surpridingly large amount of seating with booths tables and counter stools. Plenty of options alongside a half dozen or so daily specials. And price/value was impressive. I loves me a deal. It seems like they do online orders (or phone in? ) as I saw s few folk just popping in to grab and go. . Food was great. Big chonky steak fries cooked perfect. I got a cafe burger (a burgermelt with cheese bacon tomato slices and i added sautee'd onions). And coleslaw. Everything was great. My buddy got the corned beef reuban which was good. Lil dry in spots be he ate it without issue. Definitely want to return and try their beer battered fish! :Update: july 2023 we came back early in the day so brunch it was. Everything was perfect. I got the Lumberjack with eggs over easy. My buddy got the corned beef hash and eggs (also over easy). I couldn't finish mine despite a solid display! Next time we get the fish. Oh and again, they were very busy but we got served quicks and food to the table in what felt only a few minutes! I've waited longer in most drive thru's!

Order ahead of time over the phone without issue, putting in for the Monte Cristo, Onion Rings, and a Garden Salad with Russian. When I arrived I was greeted by a waitress who was very excited for me to have my dinner, which actually got me excited to eat it. She exclaimed how hot everything was, how good the fries looked, and how yummy it smelled. That was a nice touch even if she was just playing it up. When I got home and dug into it all I was very satisfied. The salad wasn't too much with its size, which seems to be an issue for a lot of restaurants where the salad is treated like a meal itself. The onion rings were a little on the softer side then I like, but, they were jam packed with flavor. And the Monte Cristo was delicious, the swiss cheese, ham and turkey combo hugged by the soft and sweet french toast bread. The fries were as the waitress said, very good, crispy but with a tender inside and a solid potato flavor. Even the pickle skewer was fresh, and helped the fries go down. Overall for the rather cheap price of $28, I got a real banger of a meal!

Food excellent. Small thin waitress not nice. Not friendly at all. I was undercharged and I told them to charge me more Thst seemed like a big deal to her. Was just trying to be honest. It was my first time there. I was in the rest. Business and I probably won't ne back.
